Red Branko is a blended wine obtained from the vinification of Merlot grapes. The vineyards, productive for more than thirty years, lie at the foot of the hills and around the winery that is the focal point of this family-run operation. Red Branko is a young, fruity wine that has gained softness, grace and balance from a brief sojourn in wood. Wafts of raspberry, blackberry and blueberry like forest fruits overlay the elegant background note of sour cherries. There is a freshness on the palate that signals the wine’s potential. Breadth, structure and depth of flavour make Red Branko suitable for drinking young or, even better, for uncorking after a moderately long stay in the cellar.
